"Red Planet Hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Thamel, the main tourist hub of Kathmandu. All the popular eateries, cafés, and shops are just steps away, which makes getting around incredibly easy. Major attractions, including the Durbar Squares, are within a comfortable 15-minute walking distance."

"This guest house is one of the finest I’ve stayed in. A training establishment for young people learning hospitality, it has very high standards. Although more expensive than other guest houses, the cost supports ROKPA, the charity founded by Akong Rinpoche, that rescues street children and provides them with love, care, education and skills to lead successful lives."

"We like very spacious and comfortable rooms, nicely decorated with all the needed facilities. It was the biggest and the most comfortable suite among all other our bookings in Nepal. It was warm inside during Decrmber. The shower had good pressure and hot water. There is a 1000 steps Temple of Goddes Kali Temple within reach (maybe 45 min), so one can make an easy hike and go down by local paths among the villages to the other side.. You can also find a French cheese shop not far."
