"Wanderer's Home Dhumbarahi is one of the best properties in the area. We had rented it for my brother's wedding (not the wedding function) and we are highly satisfied. The property has an antique aesthetic with all required amenities. The host is available 24/7, and our concerns/issues during the stay were promptly addressed. It's clean, well furnished, well managed and the host does his best to make the stay seamless. Highly, highly recommended."

The location is a quiet break from the city. The clean mountain air, clean water and residential neighborhood is most inviting. The only setback is the lack of shopping accommodation. That though is to be expected as it is not centrally located nor is it near a large temple. Otherwise, it is a beautiful area of the city most don't get an opportunity to discover.

The road to get there is very steep and taxis charged a lot to go up. We didn't realise you have to go up lots of stairs on a hill to get to the hotel itself.

The downside to being near Pashupatinath Temple is the noise from people who are there very early in the morning (5-6am). It’s to be expected, but having windows that can remove the outside noise (including taxis and wildlife) more would be greatly appreciated.
