"We had an incredible stay at Lankavatara - what a stunning place set right on a pristine beach. The room was huge, really comfy, cool and clean. The hotel is big enough that there are people around in a nice way, but small enough to make it really special. The food is great and the beach and pool area is fantastic. "A nice and quiet guest house nested in a tropical garden with a pool. The family room was very large with 1 big and comfortable bed and 2 single beds. Both Kumudu and Era where very helpful and friendly. The Tuk tuk service they propose is very convenient to get to the busy area of Galle Fort."

"This lovely quiet hotel is located a short tuk tuk ride from the busy city of Ella. The views are lovely. The service and meals are great. Sashi was a gem. He provided us with information on what to do and see in Ella. Highly recommend this as a place to stay. Especially enjoyed hearing the birds singing and the peacocks calling"

The lodge is surrounded by nature, and the atmosphere is incredibly calm, perfect if you want to disconnect and reset. Waking up to the sounds of birds and spending time by the water felt unreal. The whole place blends beautifully with the environment and gives a true eco-living experience. The staff were very kind, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made the stay even more comfortable. The food was fresh and well-prepared, and everything felt thoughtfully done. "Lovely family run accommodation in a rural garden setting off the main street. Modern building with rooms overlooking a well kept garden with mango, coconut and other tropical trees. The room was nice, clean with mosquito net set up over the bed - the bed was big and comfortable. Air con and fan both worked really well. WiFi was OK. Bathroom and shower were nice - there was a hot shower which was a bit temperamental - probably due to the low water pressure. Nice seating area outside where we were served a fabulous breakfast of rice, lovely dhal, pancakes, toast, fruit. There was so much and the dhal was topped up, by our host, because we ate it all! The owners were very friendly and helpful - Sharman organised an afternoon safari for us in Udawalawe, and organised a driver to take us to Ella. He recommended a restaurant and was really friendly, informative and helpful."
