Mangoes Resort and Restaurant in Port Vila offers 29 beautifully appointed boutique bungalows. The property is set high on a clifftop, surrounded by palm trees, tropical fruit, and flowers, and features stunning views of the sparkling waters of the South Pacific lagoon. Each bungalow at this adults-only resort offers a comfortable sitting area and a furnished terrace. They offer either garden views or panoramic views of the lagoon and coastline. All rooms feature stylish décor, a smart TV and a bathroom with toiletries and towels. Some Bungalows also offer a private plunge pool. Full room service is available from 7:00 until 21:00 each day from Mangoes Restaurant which serves luscious seafood and island specialties. A light tropical breakfast is included for most rooms. Guests have access to a fitness centre and tennis court located next door. Port Vila is just 10 minutes away.

"Very comfortable chalets, a great restaurant, nice gardens and polls, and super staff make Mangoes a pretty good place to stay in Vanuatu. It's a little on the pricey side we found. In getting around we would flag down a bus and just ask for Mangoes. The drivers know where to take you. Vanuatu has lots of biting flies and i think we got ambushed having dinner in the restaurant by the little buggers. Take precautions. Overall, we had a great stay."

"The location is within walking distance to town - it is hilly so expect a good work out. There are Buses that pass by regularly and are very inexpensive but if you book one through the resort expect to pay 4 times the fee to flag one. The light breakfast included in the room rate was adequate but there are other lovely options available at an additional cost. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful and the Pina Colada's were divine. There are 3 pools but we just used the one closest to our unit. The housekeeping staff were very efficient and friendly. We had a couple of massages in the outdoor gazebo which were very relaxing."

"When I booked there was no clear communication regarding the breakfast. When including breakfast it is only a light breakfast. Which consists of choosing one item (muesli/toast/fruit/banana bread) and one drink (juice /coffee) It also isn’t near any ocean water. So there is no option to paddle board/ kayak/swim in the ocean."

"The rooms are very private and in a very quiet atmosphere. It’s so nice wiith children free policy. Very clean rooms and grounds. It’s like boutique style hotel in Vanuatu style. I stayed at Iririki and I enjoyed this more. If you like it quite then this is amazing."

"Great location just on the opposite side of town, easy walk into Main Street, lovely and friendly staff. It’s a very quiet boutique hotel, with a great outlook especially from your private deck and pool. Perfect for a quiet getaway oh and Massage was delightful."

"The location and the view at the Castle Tree House Bungalow was amazing. You wake up and see the vulcano and even hear the sounds. The family of owner Mike is really kind and hospitable. "What a great surprise this find is, staying with a local community and eating the traditional food ,only 25mins walk to a private beach and 10min walk to the ash fields . Here the rumble of the mountain like its a distant thunder storm. The kids will show you around with great enthusiasm. And all being close to the volcano and hot springs and the hosts will arrange any other activities and transports needed , This is the real deal don't miss out . Ps look after Max well we will return ."

"- The location is great with absolutely fantastic snorkelling out the front (felt very safe and I’m not a strong swimmer) - use of Kayaks an added bonus - refreshing to cool off in the pool or relax in a hammock - the villas are clean and user friendly, very comfortable bed, excellent wifi and aircon highly valued -Michael is a champion with a friendly smile, excellent local knowledge and nothing we asked about was a hassle or too much trouble! (thanks so much for the coconuts!) -such a beautiful, Peaceful spot to relax Or explore! Thanks for having us!"
