"Great location, close to the centre of Russell but slightly elevated so it has a wonderful view. The room was spacious and well equipped with a veranda that we spent a lot of time sitting on."

"It was stylishly presented with beautiful furnishings & exceptionally clean & comfortable. The host Sue (not forgetting the very gorgeous Lulu dog) was warm & welcoming & nothing was too much trouble. She had filled the fridge with gorgeous goodies for our breakfast & many items were home made (lush marmalade). The views from the villa were stunning."

"A stay to remember - a tropical storm a power cut and then a delay to getting to the Opua ferry due a blocked road - apart from that we enjoyed ourselves very much. Sue is a lovely host and went out of her way to help."

"The property is on a slight hill and has a lovely view with a great verandar and outdoor furniture. The host Sue is lovely and when I asked for some ice for our drinks, it was not a problem. You get fresh fruit each day with anything else that neeeds to be replaced for your continental breakfast. Town a a few minutes' walk and everything is close by. There are also some lovely walks near the property. Russell is small, so eveything is clsose. There is a big supermarket and plenty of restaurants and cafes. We did the tall ship sailing boat trip which was great. The room was spacious and comfortable, I would definitely recommend it. I think you are better off staying at villa Russell with the lovely outlook and spacious verandar than along the waterfront."

"Lovely location .Very comfortable bed and pillow. Local new Zealand fruits to try well appreciated.Always enough tea and coffee in the room."

"The continental breakfast from the room fridge could have been more exciting, rather basic.Missed variety. Fruits were very nice. No eggs or cheese."

"Old style balcony with beautiful vista. We could sit out for meals and fully relax. We liked that there were windows behind and french doors to the balcony so we had air flowing through at night. The kitchenette had everything we needed."
