"The location was pretty magnificent, apparently hand built by the owner and host. Even with the wet it was a lovely place to stay. The special touch was the hot bath, though that was paid separately. It was well worth it!"

"Simon has done an amazing job creating a truly unique getaway. The property has everything you need and more from multiple living spaces, pool table, outdoor living spaces, sauna, spa pools with the beach front spa being probably the most romantic setting ever especially at sunset. Simon and his team go out of their way to make you feel welcome and nothing seemed to much trouble. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back. PS The photo is the view from the spa"

Our room looked out onto a lovely green garden and it was exceptionally quiet. It is conveniently situated close to the beach"

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"
