"It was a continent stay on our way to Stavanger. Not extraordinary but solid and clean. All we needed for a night. The breakfast was good and the breakfast room was really nice!"

"We had a truly wonderful stay! Everything about this place made me feel completely at home, from the warm and welcoming staff to the cozy and comfortable atmosphere. "Beautiful hotel and location. Essential ski facilities such as ski passes, equipment rental and clothing shop, ski lesson booking all within the bounds of the hotel. In fact its all downstairs!!! The staff were amazing, extraordinarily helpful and polite, the concierge went above and beyond to sort out any issues. (They helped me contact emergency dentists and arranged transport to track surgeries down). The breakfast buffet was varied and delicious. There was soup and bread available during the day. I particularly loved the forest mushroom soup. The room was big and comfortable, everything felt cosy. The ski slopes are well looked after, there are a range of lifts taking you to different parts of the resort. Barely any queuing and the slopes are not overcrowded. I'm not an experienced skier but there were more than enough routes to challenge me as my confidence grew over the week. The restaurant at Varden is stunning and the Mett has lots of lunch options."
