"Immersed in the forest around Mombacho Volcano, lots of birdlife and howler monkeys plums an interesting night walk with the chef, seeing sloths, snakes and lizards. Limited food menu but all very good and freshly prepared. Great breakfast too. Accommodation is rustic but this is what this lodge is all about !"

"El Pacifico is a great, great value for what you pay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and offered a great breakfast. The only drawback was that there are no screens on the windows, so with no air conditioning, windows needed to be open and mosquitoes found their way. Otherwise, would recommend and stay again."

"This was the perfect place to escape the crowds and enjoy nature while still being close to Mombacho and not far from Granada. The building was extremely modern and well decorated, with very quirky touches like the outside shower. We loved the living area with beautiful views each side to admire the sunset and sunrise. The free tea and coffee was appreciated. The hammocks were lovely to lie and enjoy the peace and nature. Nice pool area. We arrived fairly late and hadn't eaten and they arranged food to be bought to us which was very tasty (there isn't anywhere particularly close to get food). The breakfast changed the 2 mornings we were there and were both lovely. Very comfortable bed. Good WiFi. Hot shower. We were woken early one morning by the howler monkeys and found a troop of them beside the property which was fun to watch."

"The entrance is confusing. One door will probably be open with a fence (I called there) but in reality the closed door further is the entrance. I think the owners live in the first part and the hotel is the second. I was greeted by a lovely elderly couple. I helped them register me in their book (not digital, the old-fashioned way!) because the owner couldn't see. He didn't seem to know I was coming but that didn't pose a problem. NB: They don't speak English. But we understood each other with a few Spanish words and gestures. He gave me the tour, explained how the keys worked, and asked me to turn off the lights and ventilation when I will leave. The room and bathroom were clean. The ventilation worked well. There's a mango tree in the garden, so hopefully you'll get some mangoes! Be aware for allergies: there are two friendly dogs."
