"Reasonable price, and friendly staffs. They are not money lover, and willingly gave accepted to make payment in cash and in local currency too. They are also providing tasty dinner with good price, so you don’t need to worry about dishes after comming to here."

"They can improve cleanliness in the accommodation. Linens had have been washed and clean, not stinky, but the bed frame was bit dusty, and found ‘unfavorable’ bug on it. Fridge has been provided, but I hasitated to put food items in there…"

"Mgoza exceeded my expectations! The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful, the views overlooking the lake is breathtaking and the food is great. Amazing value for money! We slept really comfortably and the fan in the room was a life saver. It was really hot during our stay, but the lodge is located under big trees which made the chill / restaurant area nice and cool. Would highly recommend when visiting Cape Maclear"

"The staff and food at Mgoza Lodge stand out as well as the leafy, lakeside setting. The friendly, attentive and efficient team looked after us morning, noon and night and were helpful with local knowledge. The quality, variety and generous portions of meals on offer were a pleasant surprise and ranged from beef in a red wine jus, chicken tagine, Chinese stir‐fry, to fish cakes and a vanilla panacotta with banana in balsamic. Breakfasts were equally varied and the large plunger pot of coffee packed a punch. Our double room had a massive king size bed with adequate mattress and good (cold) water pressure. The swimming pool was clear and refreshing. The vibe is halfway between lodge and backpackers."
