"The toilets need some fixing as the one we were staying it seems it was blocked. The surrounding need some mowing as well. But otherwise great area"

"The food was exceptional, after traveling for a few days, for sure the best in a long range. The staff is very nice and available as well. They have hammocks!! There's monkeys all around the huts. They have a generator for when the power goes out. Very close to a fishing village and the shore where they keep the boats, the view there is amazing."

"I would suggest putting signs on the main road with arrows. Obviously is in a rural area so a little dusty, but the greenery is well kept."

"Escape the touristy pretend Malawi and enter the village lake life experience and surround yourself with the real happy heart of Africa community The location is a perfect balance of village life and lake life, an easy walk through the local community to reach the stunning lake or the calm relaxed street with a few shops and restaurants The accommodation whilst basic covers everything you need to enjoy your chilled stay however long (I stayed for 10 nights) The ‘staff’ are excellent and will soon become your friends, there is a great little bar and the food is well prepared and very tasty If you’re looking for a laid back stay that’s within easy reach of the over touristy places like Cape Maclear but also want peace and quiet I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here"

"Ganz tolle Menschen wie Gift und Witness, die den Aufenthalt zu einem besonderen Erlebnis machen. Verschiedene Stationen- Restaurant/Bar/Kunstraum sind auf dem weitläufigen Gelände aufgebaut. Die Rundhütten sind wie in einem typischen Dorf verteilt. Für einen Backpacker Aufenthalt ideal. Lecker Essen im Restaurant. Aber man kann auch selber grillen."

"Leider war es mit der Sauberkeit so eine Sache... Aber wer darüber hinweg sehen kann wird belohnt. Dusche, Strom und Internet nicht immer verfügbar."

"Cool little place to get away from it all with decent internet in the dining area. All the food prepared on site was delicious including Wood fired Pizza, tacos and even Shakshouka. An enjoyable walk to the lake, and lots of privacy. Overall, a great experience at a very affordable price."

"Really a magnificent place. A little way to walk to the main street but nice and quiet a night. Very unique round huts for rent put in a circle as in a village (hence the name). Good and cheap restaurant. Staff and especially the manager did all an beyond to make me feel taken care of. More than happy with the place. Definitely recommend when staying in Monkey Bay."
