"Great apartment in a beautiful building. Great location around 10 minutes walk to Republic street with lots of shops and restaurants and around 15 minutes to Valletta bus station. Really comfortable bed, 2 bathrooms one upstairs and one down, big comfy sofa. Well equipped kitchen with full size fridge freezer, microwave, cooker and hob and dishwasher. Paul was a great host, he was quick to respond to any questions I had, the house guide he sent was really thorough and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Valletta."

"Towels needed replacing they are very old and quite rough. The luggage storage is a toilet with no lock!"

"If you are after a break in Valletta look no further. Two excellent bedrooms, very comfortable beds. The whole place was squeaky clean. You will be three minutes walk from the heart of Valletta with all its restaurants and shops but the apartment is in a very quiet part of the city. Would recommend it to anyone and would certainly return. Very friendly and accommodating owner. Thank you Paul x"

"Apartment No 1 at 21, Old Mint Street, Valletta is well placed for a visit to Malta's capital city - with good, central access to the historic city centre & sights, & the many bars & restaurants. The main bus station is only a short walk away, allowing easy travel around the island; & the Gozo fast ferry is a frequent service from the grand harbour, also an easy walk from the apartment."

"The apartment itself - whilst adequate & spacious - is not quite as smart as billed! It is a little 'tired', & would benefit from an overhaul e.g. a fresh coat of paint, particularly upstairs where walls are scuffed & all internal woodwork. The modern helical metal staircase is an interesting feature, but the hand rails are held together by gaffer tape in 3 places which doesn't inspire confidence! In addition, the shiny metallic finish on kitchen bar stools & bathroom shelving has begun to 'corrode' & looks pitted/rusty in places, as does the kitchen waste bin. This issue might be remedied by a good clean with a metal polish! The kitchen is also quite poorly equipped, e.g. no decent/sharp kitchen knives (cutting bread was a challenge). Most of the pans have warped bases & do not sit flat on the hob, reducing efficient heat transfer. We could not get the toaster to work. It is also impossible to open & close the dishwasher door without the kickboard falling off! We also found the apartment quite noisy at night & early in the morning (traffic, entrance door & lift & other apartment doors slamming etc) & there is construction work going on all down Old Mint St (& in most of Malta it seems!) so the noise of workmen was a constant."
