"Haiko is a wonderful person who welcomed us upon arrival at the lodge and provided us with excellent directions to the island's beaches and restaurants/bars. The property is strategically located for reaching both the stunning northern beaches and Arikok National Park. We appreciated the lush vegetation surrounding the lodges and the chirping birds that accompanied us during breakfast. Each lodge respects privacy and is equipped with all the amenities, making it a delightful stay."

The spacious cottages offer plenty of privacy, while the beautiful pool and shared outdoor kitchen create the perfect setting to unwind and connect with others. The atmosphere is laid-back, open, and welcoming — a place where you can truly slow down. Shaded by trees, the entire property stays pleasantly cool, even on sunny days. You’ll wake up to the sounds of tropical birds, spot colorful lizards throughout the grounds, and feel immersed in nature. Mondi Lodge also puts real effort into recycling and sustainability, which adds to the authentic and conscious island experience. Modi Lodge is quite hidden and set in a remote area. It offers a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, which can be great if you’re looking to unwind, but it also means that getting around is difficult without your own transportation. Public transport and taxis are limited in that part of Curaçao, so without a car you won’t be able to easily reach beaches, restaurants, shops, or other attractions on the island.

"This lodge is exceptional. It is well maintained and immaculate as far as the grounds are concerned. There is a nearby waterhole frequented by a range of different animals. The seating area to watch the animals at the watering hole couldn't have been better placed. We didn't have much time in this lodge to fully appreciate all that it had to offer. There was a lively pool and extra treats like foot spas. Unfortunately we didn't get the opportunity to try these out."

The food was exceptional. Unfortunately vegetarians are not given a very imaginative alternative to either meat or fish. I loved the freshness of the ingredients but a more creative option for a non-meat/fish eater would have definitely improved this experience.

I found the bed a little uncomfortable and i would prefer 2 pillows per person. The driveway is steep...a little intimidating for us Europeans! But we had a 4 wheel drive so we were fine.

"The area was quiet, house comfortable and staff friendly. I needed to check out before breakfast so they gave me a lunch box with delicious food. It was a nice stay."

"Very comfortable room, although close to main road no significant road noise. Lovely setting at edge of town with immediate access for cycle or walking in fields behind. Staff very helpful and food good value for hotel facilities. Ample breakfast included too. They offer excursions but we did not try due to lack of time. Hotel arranged transfer to airport which was perfect."

"Breakfast was fine - just remember to inform the owner the day before if you require breakfast. Ingrid, the co-owner, is a lovely woman and a fine, traditional cook. You will never leave the table hungry! Whilst she can offer beer at an extra cost, we tended to buy our own along with wine to drink at dinner. Again, you will need to inform Ingrid on the day if you require dinner later. There is no choice; me and my wife are both omnivores with no allergies or intollerances, and always liked what she prepared! Our lodge was spacious with a generous deck overlooking the beautiful gardens, and the sea in the background."

A small fridge in our lodge would have been a great bonus - however, we were free to use Ingrid's fridge. The shower was also a little on the dribbly side!

"This experience was amazing being in nature while having a luxurious living space is a rare combination moreover we got to enjoy this wonderfull experience without any bugs this is one off the many positive sides of this compound I really recommend it especially for large groups and kids as the environment is kids friendly with emotional support animals like golden retrievers"

"Lokacija Konaka je odlična. Sa prostranim dvorištem, pogledom na planine i ka Popovoj Šapki, uz skijalište i završetak letnje staze sa Titovog vrva. Sobe su velike, osvetljene, čiste.. U restoranu domaćinska topla atmosfera. Doručak je bio odličan a ni roštilj nas nije razočarao. Ali najjači utisak su mi domaćin i osoblje, koji su toliko gostoprimljivi i uslužni. Ništa nije teško da bi gost uživao. Mnogo vam hvala! Nadam se novom vidjenju..."

"The huts are amazing, great location max. 3 minutes from the slope if you stay in the furthest one. They’re clean and warm, have all the things you need to cook a pretty decent dinner for a couple of people and there’s even sponges and dish soap at the property. The huts are very warm and they stay that way during the night so you won’t be cold. The owner is great and is quick to offer whatever help you need. It’s a quiet place without many people going through and you can’t hear anything going on in the other houses. The WiFi is very good and each hut has its own router."

The towels provided are every small (basically hand towels) - that’s not bad really but it’d be nice if that information was provided. Kind of no place to put your skis and snowboards except on the small terrace - unless you’d like them in your bedroom - but that’s not a big problem.

"The location was great with amazing views of the mountains, and located next to the river. The cabana was comfortable, warm, with everything we needed. The staff was super helpful."

We loved everything, it is rustic in a lovely way, fits with the environment you are in. Great value for the location.

"Great location and the scenery was beautiful. Very nice and peaceful atmosphere. Located on hill tops and the views were amazing! Perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. Surrounded by trees and was entertained by monkeys swinging through the branches. The rooms were also very spacious and allowed a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient and meals were delivered to the room. Staff were very accommodating and overall had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay."
