"Water refill was always boiling hot (though there is a communal fridge) and they’d close the refill machine away after about 9/10pm, not ideal if you need water in the night so make sure you have extra. Rooms weren’t turned over so bins got very full etc"

"Amazing experience. There are just 3 bedrooms so it’s very intimate and quiet ! The family host is wonderful and kind, the view is amazing ! We can rent bikes or walk everywhere ! We spent 4 days there and highly recommend !"

"Wonderful location - quieter but really close to bars/ eateries Staff helped us with laundry, hiring tuk tuk for the waterfalls. Boat for fishing and securing bus tickets for onward journey to Cambodia Amazing sunset. We’ll be back"

"Perfect location on the island, lots of restaurants nearby and the view for sunset is ideal. The room is spacious and the bathroom is clean, we thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay on the island here and would definitely recommend it. They also offer bicycles to rent for the day which we found very useful."

"One of our favourite places we’ve stayed so far. The lodge is a little family run place and the family are all so friendly & accommodating. The food & drinks are also nice, the iced coffees are the best we’ve had in SE Asia so far. You can get your laundry done & hire bikes with them too. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. Could have spent another week relaxing in the hammocks! And the sunsets are incredible."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Namknong. The family was so kind. The room was comfortable and clean. Great hot water shower. There are only 3 rooms so its nice and small. Great sunset views. Nice to have water refill avaliable. They have a restaurant they offer good meals really enjoyed my pumpkin soup and squid rice. The electricity goes out frequently in Don Det but it always comes back on. Room has AC but we didnt need it. Would be my first choice when return to Don Det."

"An amazing place to stay in Don Det. The family who owns it is super friendly and helpful. The food they serve is also really good — the omelette sandwich is the best I’ve had, and they make the best (and cheapest!) mango smoothie on the island."

"The only downside was that the shower and sink were leaking, and the hut isn’t soundproof at all, so you can easily hear the boats and roosters. But honestly, that’s the case everywhere on Don Det, so I would still 100% recommend staying here."

"Beautiful location for the sunset. 5 to 10 minutes walk to main area but mostly well lit if you are walking at night - just the odd spot you neee the torch on your phone. Fast WiFi. Attentive staff Clean. We hired bikes from accommodation and had a great day cycling round."

"There’s no soundproofing but it’s in a quiet area so as long as other holidaymakers don’t make a noise you are all good."
