"Fantastic guest house that's very close to the ferry & main strip. There are plenty of shops, restaurants & ticket offices close by, which makes things very easy. Very helpful manager running things. Nice terrace to sit & relax .... or sit & work. Great value for money!"

"Not just an accommodation. You feel like at home here. Thanks a lot again Andrew. Free coffee (delicious coffee! 🤤), towels in the room, wifi in the common area and hot shower (not so common in the island) and you can use the kitchen (oven and blender also)"

"Top tier guest house on the island! The rooms are super clean and comfortable and the house is perfectly located, very close to the beach but far enough so that heavy winds are not too noticeable. Andrew makes the best coffees and creates a very warm, homelike atmosphere. We ended up extending our stay multiple times and during our two weeks here we had family dinners nearly every night (taking turns with who cooks each evening). It’s hard to say goodbye to such a wonderful place and people. Thank you Andrew for making this such a memorable part of our trip! Always happy to come back to Mpai Bai. We'll definitely come back for more!"

"Very friendly owner who let me use the kitchen and free drinking water which is great! You can also borrow his diving mask and fishing rod if you like"

"WiFi doesn’t work in the rooms as it’s just the owners hotspot but if you’re sitting in the lounge it’s ok. I’m sure he’ll sort it out in the next weeks tho as it’s just newly opened!"

"We loved this place! It’s tucked down a little alley so away from all the traffic noise so was quiet. The biggest plus for me was the rooftop pool - I swam there 4 times over a 2 night stay! - which was open any time, I just asked reception to open it early and they did this is immediately. Great views from there and a wonderful way to cool off. There’s a bar and restaurant on the roof too and we had a lovely meal there one night, very attentive staff. The room was very spacious and we had robes as well as nice toiletries. The bed was very comfortable too. We could get Netflix on the tv so, not being party animals, we watched a film one night. The staff were very helpful, and we got our laundry done through them. It took 24 hours and was about $6 for quite a big bag and it was well cleaned - though they lost a sock!"

"I stayed at Ahha for two days in March 2026 and ended up returning because I enjoyed it so much. The accommodation was excellent. My room was was big & the shower was powerful and the bed was large and extremely comfortable—exactly what you want after a long day exploring. What really made the experience special, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, always smiling, and genuinely welcoming throughout my stay. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this property more highly. If you’re visiting Kampot and looking for somewhere comfortable, relaxing, and great value with wonderful staff, this is a fantastic place to stay. I would happily return."

"This place is fantastic. The host Meg is super helpful if you need anything - from recommendations to even booking a tour for you. Otherwise she leaves you alone if that’s also your preference. We loved hanging with Pancho, the friendliest and most gentle dog you’d ever meet. The place is located a quick 5 min tuk tuk ride out of Kampot so you are close to everything, but far enough to be in a peaceful spot. Highly recommend this place, the villa is well appointed with everything you need. Our only regret was not staying longer. We initially booked 3 nights and extended to 4 - there is a lot to do in Kampot so even more time would have been ideal."
