"The gite was clean, well equipped and ideally situated for visiting many of the chateaux in the Loire, Cher and Indrois valleys. The gite is set in the centre of the owner's forest with their own house nearby. The location is very calm, peaceful and private, and it was easy to sleep late, especially with such a comfortable bed! Catherine and her husband Xavier and later their daughter, Hortense, who also lives close by, made us very welcome and we enjoyed an early evening aperitif with them during our stay when we were treated to the sight of a magnificent stag with huge antlers which stood proudly guarding one of the does from his harem that was feeding at the edge of our clearing. A great stay, thankyou Catherine, Xavier and Hortense for your welcome and hospitality - and also the cyclamen plants - Wendy will be sending a photo."

"Beautiful property in a very quiet part of the town, Maria could not have been more welcoming, showing us around her garden and orchard. It was great to see her chickens wandering around the garden, scratching for food, and of course we enjoyed fresh eggs for breakfast. We also received a warm welcome from her cat, one of the friendliest cats I have ever met."

"Very big, spacious apartment with everything you need for your stay including things like oil, salt, pepper, dishwasher tablets etc. Nice quiet area and parking on the property. About a 30 minute walk to the old town/castle. Train station is very close and there is a supermarket about 5 minutes walk away."
