"Such a beautiful find! Lassay Les Chateaux is a gorgeous historic town with everything you need. I was staying for a week as a base for exploring the area. The locals are really friendly and there are several shops to cater for your stay, including lovely coffee shops and a well-stocked Carrefour Express opposite, L’Orchidee is a charming little house, right in the centre ville - very well-appointed and cosy. Felt really safe staying there alone and enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen during my stay. Highly recommend!"

"We loved this place. It was big and clean and in a perfect location for us. There were 3 toilets too - bonus. You come out the front door and you are in the high street. Lassay is a lovely little town and there is a beautiful castle 5 minutes walk away, another bonus! The people in the town were very friendly and helpful and the food we found was very good. Parking was easy too. It was a fairly popular destination which we didn't know, but that wasn't a problem. We visited some beautifu areas half an hour or so away in the national park. There is a lot to explore if you have more time."

"The only downfall was that the restaurants all closed at lunch time. However this seems to be a thing in France so nothing to do with the property. One other thing to consider is that there are 3 levels at this property and if you have heavy suitcases it can be difficult lifting them up the stairs but we managed."

"No wifi.. Could do with an instruction booklet advising on local businesses. Advice on disposal of rubbish.Beds were extremely uncomfortable! Blunt knives."

"The location is in the centre of the very pretty village of Lassay les Chateaux with shops, restaurants and bars in the immediate environment as well as the Chateaux, lake and rose garden. There is free parking directly outside. The accommodation was fully equipped for our stay, the kitchen especially so."

"The heating is electric and we were there in winter and were a little worried about running up the bills as we needed the heating on so much. It is stated there there is no wifi, that would be a nice added extra as we missed it a fair bit. Be aware that this is a small gite, the stairs to the bedrooms are spiral and steep and the bathrooms are small / narrow which is something to think of accessibility wise. neither of these points are complaints, just mentioned for awareness."
