"Petit déjeuner très copieux et varié avec des pâtisseries ( maison) et viennoiseries différentes chaque jour, des crêpes, des fruits, des yaourts, du jus de fruit… Chambre très propre et bonne literie, salle de bain nickel. Nous avions dans la chambre la TV, un frigo, un micro-ondes ainsi que de quoi faire du thé et du café et une bouteille d’eau. Sylvette et Lionel sont des hôtes charmants."

"This is the place to visit if you're visiting the Somme region. Fantastic WW1 knowledge and help is available especially to someone like me that wanted to visit the area bit only had a couple of days. There is hugely impressive selection of books and memorabilia to see. Jenny was extremely helpful in assisting me plan my day out. Dinner is available also if required, and l have to say l was very well looked after. On a side note, I was also able to lock up my motorcycle in the large shed which gives great piece of mind. Jenny is willing to chat and make you feel very comfortable. I had a large double room with en-suite all to myself. And the bed was excellent too!! I really enjoyed my stay at The Silent Picket, it's a home from home kind of establishment. Well done and thanks again"

"Christian, the delightful owner, provided an excellent Continental breakfast & his daily fresh fruit salad was superb. The baguette & croissants from a local bakery in Sauveterre-de-Guyenne were really good. The guest kitchen is a great plus and there is an excellent choice of teas & a coffee machine. Very comfortable bed. Very clean heated pool."
