"We had to pay for towels and bedding which was unexpected and felt unreasonable. If you have young children the stairs up to the top room are quite steep but easy enough to put them in the downstairs room. No WiFi but we were able to use the connection from the main building"

"An absolutely beautiful place! Surrounded by nature, in a lovely location, and with the kindest hosts you could ever meet. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly people who made us feel at home. And the traditional French breakfast was simply fantastic — fresh baguette, crêpes, and of course a selection of amazing homemade jams. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!"

"A perfect base on the Dordogne River to explore the beautiful Dordogne Valley especially the local area of the 5 castles. The house is compact and comfortable for two with everything you need for your stay. An excellent bakery and local butcher are across the road with a small grocery store. Canoeing is available 100m away and the lovely grassy and shady reserve has steps into the water and a shingle beach. We swam every day in the river and beautiful side streams where the current is low, all crystal clear. We did walks to the other castle towns through farms fields and forest, all flat and easy. A very special part of France altogether and Patrick’s cottage is perfectly positioned. Patrick is a charming host and takes a lot of trouble to ensure you have good information on the area."
