"An idyllic hidden location on an island in the middle of the Loire river, south-west of Angers. An artist community with a beautiful church carved into the rock in the centre of it. What an unexpected pleasure! We turned up on a day when all restaurants were closed and our hosts kindly agreed to prepare a meal for us - a beautiful meal of sea bream and a fabulous bottle of Savennières Chenin blanc to complement. The room was peaceful, and comfortable and the breakfast the following morning was great too. This is an oasis - go there just for the restaurant (on a day when it is open!) Fantastic, kind, friendly hosts - I will definitely try to go back."

"It was absolutely beautiful, the location and the property, and the hosts were exceptional, they waited up very late until we arrived as we had missed our ferry, would definitely recommend and would love to visit again. We didn’t arrive in time for dinner but the menu looked amazing, thank you."

"We loved our stay in this little apartment right in the heart of Annecy."
"Chambre confortable literie impeccable. Le dimanche le restaurant étant fermé, nous avions à notre disposition un petit plateau déjeuner, avec pain au chocolat thé café jus d’orange etc. Ça dépanne bien. Nous avons dîner au restaurant le samedi soir. Les plats sont simples mais bons et rapports qualité prix correcte, je recommande particulièrement le Mojito maison fait à base de pétillant et non à l’eau gazeuse.La patronne est très sympa et bavarde. Nous avons passé un moment agréable. Je recommande."

"Annie is a great host. Very welcoming. We booked at the last minute because of a delay getting into Cherbourg. Beautiful historic house. Homemade jams, yoghurt, croissants and a variety of breads for breakfast. Everything a tired body could wish for."
