L'Aravone Lodge

"This is a work in progress. Cyril, the owner, is renovating the house, which has plenty of character. Our room was very large and had a separate lounge/dining room, which looks like it used to be a coaching entrance to the property. There is onsite parking and it is only a ten minute walk into Hesdin. Cyril was a great host and gave us a delightful breakfast. Tip - have an evening meal there, Cyril has been a chef for many years and he makes wonderful food."

"Super accommodating hosts. Friendly. Offered evening food as we were travelling without a car; delicious lasagne!! Super breakfast. Lots of drinks available with variety of powerful Belgian beers. Loss to do in the immediate area and further afield."

"Host was a kind and wonderful person. Could speak good English though we communicated mostly in French. We picked up the key from Hotel Melodie where the host was waiting for us. He drove with us to the property, showed us everything and left his details for us to contact him anytime in need. He also left fresh orange juice, cakes and coffee for breakfast. Parking was right outside the property. We had a wonderful stay and we will go back to this property in future for longer stay"
