Lapis Domus

"A wonderful reception awaited us from Charlène and Fabrizio when we arrived and they showed us our lovely bedroom (with a super comfy bed!) and bathroom in a newly converted chapel opposite the main building. We had a fridge with drinks we could purchase and snacks too, plus tea and coffee making facilities and a microwave. Our hosts gave us some great tips about local places to eat and we enjoyed each one we tried. We were also offered the use of bikes and an inflatable kayak - such very generous offers. Breakfast was served on the outside patio and included homemade preserves which were delicious. We had several places to sit and relax outside which felt private and we loved watching the chickens wander around the property. Overall, a very relaxing stay close to some incredible chateaux, the river Cher, cycle paths and the Père Auguste wine makers. Thank you guys, you couldn't have made us feel more welcome and we look forward to making a return visit."

Breakfast ; Interesting - eggs, croissants, baguette, choice of drinks... home made jams, etc....toaster available, and a fridge if you want to bring your own cheeses, yoghurts, etc. Availability of external garden furniture and a garden marquee with anti mosquito side panels. pleasant walks nearby."

"Signposting - our car Sat nav became totally confused, and google maps was a bit slow to id.. the property's own name plate is relatively small."

"We stayed for one night en route home from Dordogne. This is such a lovely, comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The accommodation is private with a gorgeous bathroom. The garden is beautiful and the location- right by the river- is peaceful. There is a private place to read /sunbathe and an outside kitchen area with fridge where you can make tea/coffee snd evenz simple meal ( microwave). Everything has been thought of. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming and a great source of information re things to do. We borrowed their bikes and cycled along ther river, past the château. Stay here- it's gorgeous 😍"

"Accueil parfait avec un petit air d'Italie. On voit que Catherine de Médicis est passée par là ;) Beau logement, propre et bien agencé. Très bonne situation au calme pour effectuer les visites et pour se reposer avec la possibilité de se détendre en terrasse et profiter d'un très beau jardin en compagnie de la gentille Pitch."

"Location cosy pleine de charme. Excellent petit-déjeuner, copieux avec des produits frais et du fait maison. L'emplacement, le calme/la tranquilité et le confort du lieu ainsi que l'amabilité et la gentillesse de Charlène et Fabrizio. Idéal pour visiter les châteaux de la Loire : Chenonceaux, Amboise etc...."

"Il n'y a pas de pommeau dans la douche, ce qui n'est pas forcément pratique lorsque l'on ne veut pas se mouiller les cheveux mais ce n'est qu'un petit détail."
