"This was a gem of a find! Our room was beautifully decorated and very clean! Our hosts were wonderful and very accommodating, they even let us check in at 11am. The breakfast in the morning was beautifully prepared and the scrambled eggs were delicious and so was the coffee. They have out a lot of thought and effort into this finishing touches at this property, we were given bottled water and chocolates every day. Another lovely touch was the 2 glasses of wine that you could have at your leisure. We would definitely return to this hidden gem."

"A beautiful property in Bordeaux. We stayed in wonderfully large and spacious room with Balcony and view over the internal courtyard. The property and our room were exceptionally clean and thoughtfully decorated. Our bed was huge and very comfortable; the shower was luxurious. Additionally, Michel and Nicolas were kind and really helpful hosts. Late check-in was no problem and we were greeted upon arrival. The area is very close to several bus stops that get you to the city centre if you don't fancy walking (walk only 15-25 minutes depending on where in the centre)."

"Nothing concerning the property. The only very minor gripe we had was that there are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity. However, you'll have a selection within a 10 minute walk."

"La Cabane D’Ambroise was a little oasis in Bordeaux, an unexpected delight in a residential area of town. Nicolas our host was extremely friendly and helpful on check-in. Breakfast was exceptional - fresh bakery goods, yoghurts and spreads as well as great coffee! The room was beautifully appointed, with super comfortable beds and pillows and everything needed to create a warm and inviting stay Location was easy to walk into the Old Town, around 15 mins. Bikes just around the corner made it easy to get around Train station around a 15 mins walk"

"We didn’t love the residential area this property was in however it was easy to get around by walking or biking."

"This place is a real gem! It's a lovely boutique hotel with great facilities and nice big rooms overlooking the pool and private courtyard. It's a short walk from the train station, in a nice quiet neighbourhood. Nicolas is a great host - he's incredibly helpful and made us feel so welcome and looked after throughout our stay! He also allowed us to store our bags on the last day, which was super convenient since our train was in the evening. There are lots of nice little touches, like complimentary tea/coffee, snacks and glasses of wine. Last but not least, breakfast is included and it's the best we ever had - so generous, fresh and delicious!"

"It was a lovely, homely hotel experience, where your every need was catered for. The rooms were beautiful, as was the garden, and pool. The provision of wine, snacks and coffee made the experience even more thoughtful. The breakfast, too, was delicious as it included a wide range of fruits, meats cheeses and breads. Nicolas couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. He had anticipated our every need, and was both polite and discreet in the service he provided. We will definitely stay at La Cabane D’Ambroise again, and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it to other people."
