"It's a lovely big property in a remote location, although the rooms we stayed in were old it's perfectly comfortable we joined for dinner which was a lamb asado and it was very nice, I'd suggest checking the price of a bottle of wine before you order as we ended up with one more expensive than we thought!. The breakfast was fairly basic but fine for us. It is quite expensive but for what it is, but it's also remote and there's really no other options unless you go to Gobernador."

A bit difficult to find, the fridge didn't work.

"The hosts were very friendly and sincere in their service to their guests. The breakfast and dinner were good. We tried their apple cider tasting board and I really enjoyed it. We had bonfire after dinner and the children enjoyed gathering dried grasses to add to the fire. The owner even brought us to their mushroom farm and showed the operation of the farm, which we were very impressed. Hope to visit Cider Barn &more again, maybe in another season."

It was quite a challenge driving in the dark to the accommodation. It’s better to reach there before sunset.

It felt like being completely disconnected from everyday life and fully immersed in the peaceful wilderness. The breakfast was prepared with so much love and heart – always fresh and delivered to our accommodation every morning. You could really feel the care and passion in every detail. Christine is an great host. She takes such loving care of her guests and is always attentive and genuinely committed to making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. "Beautiful house set in the middle of nature. We booked a larger room to have some more space and it was very big with a huge terrace which we loved. The farm itself was full of different fruit trees and plants and Santhosh was kind to show us around and explain what was what. He also organised a tuktuk tour in the forest for half a day which we really enjoyed. He let us know about a local festival happening in a town nearby and even drove us back after. Breakfast was great, and so was dinner which we asked for on the last evening. We booked this place to experience the peace and nature in Kerala and this is exactly what we got, would 100% reccommend!"

The shower in our bathroom didn't have hot water connected, so in order to use the hot water, we needed to use a bucket and a jug to shower. Pillow cases were not very soft.

"Complete privacy, it's wonderful! Before our arrival, they turned on the heating and warmed up all the rooms, it was very touching. We were busy during the day so we didn't get to enjoy the beautiful views. The hosts are friendly and at the same time respect privacy, which is very valuable."

I didn't have enough evening light. But we didn't spend much time in the evening, we went to bed early. If you have poor eyesight like me, take care of your glasses.Also, my feet were cold, I didn't bring slippers, if this is important to you, don't repeat my mistakes
