"A truly unique place to stay. Great service, organised pick up and return to airport for us and also arranged a great English speaking guide for my climb of Pico Do Fogo."

"First off: the landscape is just amazing, feels pretty surreal. The round-shaped "funco" is so cool, we loved it! There is also a patio with a hammock which overlooks such stunning views. Everything was very clean. The host, Du, and his family (the staff) are super friendly and helpful :) We had a nice dinner there and I can definitely recommend to taste some of their wines. Also breakfast was good, and we appreciated the fact that they were available to serve it also very early in the morning to accommodate our transportation needs."
"Just bear in mind that to get there from the airport you need to catch a taxi with is quite expensive as it takes almost one hour - or else you can get a "colectivo", but they only run at specific times once a day. When we were there, the colectivo from the airport would only depart at midday, and the other way (from the funco to the airport) was at 7am. I write this just as a recommendation for future guests: might be worth asking around for other people to share the taxi with, in case the colectivo does not meet your timings :)"
"Everything about this accommodation was perfect. The room was clean, and each cabin had its own small, cozy outdoor area. The host was very friendly and accommodating. He organized the airport transfer and the guide for climbing Pico do Fogo. His sister was also lovely and cooked delicious meals for us every day. The stay was the highlight of our Cape Verde vacation!"

"L'emplacement exceptionnel, l'accueil magique et familial. On a pris de l'aéroport jusqu'à notre retour avec eux, ils ont tout géré. Denis et ses sœurs sont extraordinaires il nous a emmenés en haut du volcan, le repas était fantastique. N'hésitez pas à tout faire avec eux et leur faire confiance."

"Unique stay and experience in the Fogo caldeira- family owned and operated and authentic. The staff were helpful and kind - they added to the experience. Think skies void of light pollution- perfect for star gazing (bring layers!), hikes and time free to take in the unique otherworldly landscape. If going to the caldeira, spending a night or 2 here is definitely recommended"

"The people working there was so kind and helpful! They prepared food for us when we wanted it (really good food), room was big and clean, wifi was ok. The water in the shower has warm water but poor pressure."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is in a great location not far from the beach and shops. Alcino was an excellent host. Very responsive and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We liked the shared areas downstairs and the balcony on our bedroom. There is free parking outside which was great for our hire car."
