"This is a newly refurbished flat, located on the main street in Santa Maria. It is spacious and clean, a balcony is a great asset to have a coffee and watch people passing by."

"This guesthouse is in a perfect spot at the top of the Paul valley, in a small village, with easy access to amazing hiking routes and also a great 8km walk back down the winding cobbled road to the coast (easy to pick up a coletivo or aluguer for a ride back up). We had the apartment at the top, which has amazing 360 views of the surrounding mountains and down the valley, and has its own terrace (besides the communal rooftop terrace). Sandro is an excellent host and has plenty of local information to share. A great breakfast was brought up to the apartment every morning. There’s a fabulous local restaurant next door (Andy & Dju) which uses organic produce and has vegetarian options. Can’t think of any reason to stay down at the coast if you want to make the most of the hiking opportunities in this beautiful valley. Hope to go back some day :)"

"The property is well located, only a few minutes by foot from the centre and beach. The hosts are exceptional, upon arrival we were send recommendations for restaurants. All communication was possible via WhatsApp. We arranged to be picked up by the host from the airport (12€), everything went very smoothly. The owner even propsed to keep the room until the afternoon when she heard that the flight out was around 6pm, without extra charge!"

"The staff is truly amazing. After I had an accident with my foot on the other side of the island, they took incredible care of me. They immediately arranged crutches, gave me an upgrade to a ground-floor room (no stairs!), and even accompanied me to the doctor for translation and support. The location is beautiful and the food is top-notch. They made me feel safe and welcome despite my injury."

Markus, the host, is very kind and welcoming, and I really appreciated the welcome drinks waiting on arrival. The apartment has everything you need, all is new, the beds are very comfortable, and the terrace is perfect for relaxing and chilling. I would definitely stay here again."
