"Modern and stylish rooms with comfy beds and good aircon. Nice location and swimming pool to cool off. Close to the beach and a great bakery at the end of the street. Staff was friendly and breaktfast was tasty."
"We liked the breakfast when it was a buffet. Later during our stay they switched it to à la carte, which took way longer and portions were quite small. A bit more variation during the buffet would have been nice, but we stayed quite long."

"Extremely clean, friendly staff, very welcoming. Good standards, modern, good value for money. We checked out of another hotel in San Jose a day early because of cleanliness and a rather nasty cockroach infestation. Olinca was quite literally a breath of fresh air."

"Lovely and clean, staff were helpful and the location is great. We had a problem with our hot water and this was resolved straight away, couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely space outside your room to sit and overlook the pool."
"Breakfast wasn't great. Not much choice if you have a dietary requirement, the fruit wasn't covered and so flies were all over the fruit. We didn't bother with breakfast our second morning. Beds were a little small, a king would easily have fitted in the room, although they were comfortable."
"The hotel is close to everything you need. Rooms are spacious and you have full AC control (other hotels don't let you get as low as you want with the AC). Pool was nice, if a little small."
"Breakfast was awful. The staff asks you at what time you're getting breakfast, which is odd but whatever, and then you go and get breakfast and the food is lukewarm at best, there aren't many options to choose from (it's basically gallo pinto, eggs and something extra) and they ration the food for you, so it's not really a buffet. Also, the king bed was nice, but the bed was uncomfortably noisy and the bathroom has (for some reason) a door to keep the toilet private because the bathroom doesn't have a door, but the toilet door has glass sections so it defeats the whole privacy thing. It was weird."
"The hotel was small but beautiful. Located in the city center, walking distance to the beach, all types of shops and restaurants. The staff was super nice and we felt very welcomed and comfortable. The breakfast was great too."

"A great villa located near the river. The pool was amazing, and the territory is very beautiful and well-maintained. We saw many animals around the villa during our stay: toucans, agoutis, hummingbirds, a Jesus lizard and various birds. It was wonderful to learn many interesting facts about the local wildlife from the friendly hosts. They also gave us great recommendations on places to visit and organized excursions for us. We really liked them: river tour, coconut tour and night tour. All of them are highly recommended."

"Enjoyed everything here! Clean room with AC and friendly staff. Lodges are at the ‘end’ of the town (which is still only a 2mins walk from the centre) so I enjoyed the quiet here at night. Breakfast is good. The pool indeed is in the ‘hotel’ next door but you just gotta walk 50meters so I don’t see why people complain about it. In the average european hotel you gotta walk longer from your room to the pool. Humidity in the rooms is a thing indeed, but that’s just because of the weather. If you use the AC (which has drying mode too) it’s just fine."

"First impression of the accomodation is not one of coziness because it is somewhat dark inside. However it certainly has all the basic needs, was clean and with good working airco. We were in contact with Brandon as a represensative of the owner and as a local guide, and he has been very helpful from the moment we arrived in Pavona and troughout our entire stay. Arranging the transfer, welcoming us at the dock of Tortuguero accompanying us to the accomodation and offering a variety of excursions."

"This "casita" is really in the nature. It's a wooden house, the host is really helpful. We have common breakfasts with kolibries, colored small birds, tucans, somethimes the monkeys were also on close trees. :-) In addition, there were NO mosquitos."
