"I arrived in Kibuye and first had lunch with Jean-Paul, the owner of the campsite. After that we went to a local market and bought some food for dinner and for the breakfast the next morning. Then we took a really beautiful boat ride across Lake Kivu to the quiet and isolated place where the campsite is located. The campsite has a very nice garden with mango trees, eucalyptus trees and even coffee plants. Two members of the staff helped us carry the luggage and also helped with preparing the food. The tent I slept in was very comfortable and the whole place felt very calm and well taken care of. What makes this place special is mainly the peaceful atmosphere and the amazing view over Lake Kivu. In the evening you can watch the fishermen out on the water, and in the morning there are many birds and you wake up with all the sounds of nature. I would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone who visits Rwanda."
I stayed just one night. Next time I would definitely want to stay longer!
