Since it was in the mountain there was more ants / mosquitos, but the host had all the equipment needed for us to have an enjoyable stay!

"A wonderful , basic cabin located in the arguably the best location on the island . Surrounded by acres of exotic fruit and native forest beyond. Birdlife is prolific. This is a place to stay for birdwatching with flocks of African grey parrots, kingfishers, egrets .. and so much more to see.. Excellent value meals can be brought to your table daily. Freshly caught fish, local grown fruit and rice. No need to cook . It's good quality and great value. Bring cash for guides and daily, national park entry fees . The beach is amazing ... REALLY"

Ensure you have bought a local sim-card, loaded with data before arriving. Wifi may not work. Also, before arriving, stop at a supermarket and buy sufficient drinking water for your stay. ( 2 litres per person per day minimum ). Bring mosquito spray for your jungle walks and be prepared to rough it .

Only two towels, which appeared quite stained. Could do with some wine glasses. Maybe a deeper clean of walls and floors, but still felt clean, just not spotless.

"Rooms were spacious, great hot water and comfy bed. The area was close to everything but far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. Rooms were also sound proof. Darrin was very helpful, he recommended and booked us on a great hiking tour which I can highly recommend."

For a family of four it was a bit tight spaced, but not unmanageable. Just for awareness - it is one bedroom and the sleeper couch serves as second bed.

"This was such a beautiful stay! Everything is very clean and spacious, we loved the big shower in the bathroom and the overall design of this place :) Breakfast was also so nice and abundant! There's also a common area with kitchen if you need to + board games, very cosy especially if you're not so lucky with the weather like us. The pool seemed really nice but unfortunately we couldn't use it because it was too windy and cloudy when we were there."

Such a beautiful colourful - African Style accommodation. delicious breakfast, clean room and a beautiful exotic garden. The all the staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. I can highly recommend this establishment and would not hesitate to book there again."

Had some problems with WiFi, but the was good communication regarding this issue from the host

"The view was really good with the little terrace in front of the room, I like to have a view. AC was powerful. It was also very very quiet. No noise except the roosters."

Others need to be mindful it's down a steep hill from the main street then up a steep unlit track - bring a flashlight not just phone light. Tricycles pick up at the bottom of the hill.

The hosts are some of the nicest people around, always ready with hot coffee in the morning, a delicious breakfast and the yummiest dinners. You get to sleep in a work of art, and this is what makes this place so rare and so special."

This is a personal preference, but we found the pillows quite hard. But honestly, when you wake up in a tree house, the pillow thing is really a tiny issue, which gets forgotten about the moment you open your eyes, and you see the gorgeous waterfall on the property, the resident squirrel and the 2 dogs Bobby and Ania ❤️

"Loved the cabin! So calm and relaxing. The cabin itself was so rustic, everything you need is there. The beds were so nice and comfortable, they had working netflix so on the cold rainy nights you can simply cuddle and watch some TV. The breakfast was amazing! Lovely lady gave it to us to our cabin in the morning and it was wrapped so nicely in a proper picnic basket! And the range was amazing, even better than hotel buffets. The staff were friendly! The area is very quiet with a short drive to many hiking spots but that's what we were looking for. Loved every second. Thanks again!"
