Leute, die meinen für den günstigen Preis ein 10 Sterne Luxushotel erwarten zu müssen! Wer es klinisch rein haben möchte, sollte in die Stadt fahren und in ein Hotel gehen, nicht aufs Land, auf einen Bauernhof mit Tieren und Heu für ein paar Euro die Nacht!

"Small authentic hotel with a beautiful view of the tea plantations. We booked a bungalow with a balcony, bathroom and bedroom. Breakfast was good, but we waited for dinner for more than 1.5 hours."

It was cold in the room, shower doesn't work

First of all please do not rely on the reviews here. The most one I think are fake reviews. This is now the real situation at this so called Nature "hotel". Flies flies flies. Everywhere thousand of flies. Flies in the rooms, flies in the restaurant everywhere you will have the flies. This is an indicator about the bad hygiene in this hotel. I have booked to so called King Room with Mountain view. It sounds very friendly but the reality is totally a horror. The room is very dirty and most issue it is wet and everywhere you see mold. When you enter the room you smell the moldy air. Absolutely unhealthy enviroment. Even the bedding is moldy and wet. The floor is wet. The walls are wet. We have to use hair dryer to have a little bit dry feeling when we sleep. But we could not sleep very well. Very terrible situation. Beside the moldy enviroment the room cleanless is terrible. Everywhere died flies and their feces. Stains on bedding and hairs. The bathroom was so dirty that we have avoided to take a shower. The toilet was not cleaned. The breakfast was consist of only rice and noodle and some unfresh cakes. On the food there are a lot of flies. They have a menu but most ones are not available. So we ate some noodle but was very low quality. Now my frustration. I have paid 1.4mRP for one night. In Indonesia you can stay in a very good 4 star Hotel for this price. I have requested a refund but the owner/staff was very unfriendly and not collaborative. For 200kRP you can stay in Bromo/Tosari in every homestay which is more better than this kind. So dont rely on the pics and reviews. The guys are cheating in a high level. Please be really careful to book this hotel. I have already claimed to booking.com. "This was a very comfortable modern house like a tiny home but felt spacious. Kids loved sleeping in the loft. It was warm and inviting. The setting is lovely on a river with some small falls. I imagine Iin summer the outdoor bbq area would be very nice. We had a very comfortable night. Free onsen was nice although glad no one else there as it was tiny."

The location is quite far from the train so you need a taxi. The taxi drivers seemed put out to go there she it cost us about $40. Also far from a shop. So bring food or have a car. I like an onsen but it was very tiny. It would be nicer outdoors by the river.

The way to get there is very adventurous. I arrived in the dark and I wasn't really sure I am at the right place because of the road. Quite scary.

"I really enjoyed staying at Camping La Y Griega, in Bocas del Toro. For me, the location is perfect because it is a bit further away from town (which can be very noisy), making the atmosphere much calmer and more peaceful. In addition, the two buses that go to the main destinations on the island stop right in front: to Playa Bluff or towards Bahía Dragón and Playa Estrella. Taxis to town cost 1 dollar. There are affordable options for both rooms and tents. The tents are set up on wooden platforms in a very cozy space with hammocks and sofas. The place is well maintained, with a beautiful garden and a fully equipped kitchen. Howler monkeys pass by very often, and you can also see hummingbirds, which makes the atmosphere even more special. The owner, Johny, is very attentive and friendly, and the volunteers are also very kind and helpful. If I return to Bocas del Toro, I will definitely stay there again. I highly recommend it."

"The compound is very cosy with lots of fireplaces and areas to play and chill. Although there where a lot of guests the last night we barely noticed them. The outdoor kitchen is very pleasant to use and the showers and toilets where comfortable. We are fond of the place, very easy going, close to nature and basic with a comfort-plus."

We felt lucky we brought our own chairs. The chairs available where great to use for sitting at the table and for eating but not for chilling at the fire pit. The beds where hard. I didn't mind but I can imagine some people don't like a hard matras.

"I just loved the concept of tipi in the forest. Very clean camping area, big forest surrounding the campground, lots of birds and of course the lovely semois by my feet. It’s also a family camping so as a solo traveler you feel pretty safe."

The “insolite” part, you aren’t quite insolite, other tipis were in use by families with children running around and shouting. This was a bit tiring since I hoped to be in a calmer area. But you manage, I was out hiking the whole day and at night I set up my bbq while the kids slept. Only early mornings were hard - at the same time the birds were as loud as the kids 😂

"What a joyful, lovely place!! I am not going to lie: it's in the middle of nowhere, and getting there is a whole adventure (especially if you get the wrong road) but once you reach, it's a fabulous place to be. The owners are so incredibly kind and helpful! They made everything possible and impossible to help us with our stay. We spent 3 nights and it seems we were the first ones to occupy the tent (I must say, the bed was HEAVENLY) so as you can imagine, it was spotless and shiny new. The tent is quite spacious and very comfy. There are two kitchens nearby (beautifully equippped with everything needed and classified rubbish bins) with electricity and plugs (in fact, this is the place to charge your phone). The toilets are also close by (and very clean) and the showers are a joy (loved to be barefoot on the pebbles). They even have gel and shampoo (and it smells great!). Everything is done with love and joy, and it shows. We loved it!"

No complaints, but bear in mind there is no electricity in the tent itself, so in case you want to charge or need electricity you have some charging points or the kitchen. Also wifi is not strong outside the reception area.
