Hotel Ambaibo

"Great hostel we stayed for a night before starting a jungle tour. We could check in at 9am after arriving from the night bus which was amazing. We were given really nice recommendations for breakfast and were able to use the pool and relax. 10/10 would recommend. Wish we stayed here for longer!"

"The pool was excellent, and it was great for exercise. Grounds were nice. We had a lovely welcome and were able to check in early, after arriving on the night bus. They also stored our luggage while we went on our Jungle & Pampas tour. The room was spacious & comfortable with Air conditioning. Shower was hot. Everyone was very helpful and the owner stepped in to help us when our taxi didn't turn up to take us to the bus station."

"Most hotels offer complimentary coffee, tea and water in reception, so missed that. Otherwise was great"

"The air conditioning was wonderful!! WiFi was excellent. Pool is big - 24m long apparently - so you can swim properly if you want. Location is excellent, only a few minutes walk from good restaurants and cafes. Room are spacious. Nice to have hammocks outside and pool chairs too. Was able to stay extra nights when my flight was cancelled. Preferred it to my accommodation in the Pampas and Selva."

"It would be useful for the hotel to advise when reception closes - I wanted to buy water at 9.30pm one evening but there was no one there. Couldn’t get shower to run properly warm, but it didn’t matter too much. Socket next to my bed didn’t work (habitación 7)."

"Huge pool which was great to cool off in, air con in the room worked very well, bed was comfy and room and en suite were clean. They also happily stored our bags whilst we went on a Pampas tour. Relaxed atmosphere overall at the hotel."

"Outdoor showers didn't seem to work but wasn't really a problem with the rooms being so close. As most places in Bolivia they don't accept card for payment."

"I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Ambaibo.The room was very large and serviced daily.This was one of the cleanest rooms I have stayed in during my travels in Bolivia.Sleep quality was excellent and the location was perfect-a short walk to the plaza....Check-in was handled by Stephanie who wad friendly and welcoming....A lovely place to stay....Will return the next time I visit Rurrenabaque."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were standard but clean and comfortable with ample hot water. The owner was very accommodating, allowing an early check in, holding our bags whilst we went on a tour for 5 days and also allowing us to use the outdoor showers upon return to clean up before our bus back to La Paz The outdoor area is a little Oasis with very well kept gardens and a nice pool."
