Situated just outside Encamp, the southern gateway to the Grandvalira ski resort, this hotel offers the perfect base for winter sports and other mountain activity holidays. The family atmosphere, home cooking and beautiful natural surroundings, however, are attractions in themselves. The hotel is easily accessible and a bus from beside the hotel will take you to the Funicamp, a gondola that connects Encamp with the ski resorts of Grau Roig and Grandvalira. A short distance from the hotel are various trekking possibilities which range in difficulty, from the Pardines route to the lake at Engolasters (at an altitude of 1,600 metres) to trips to the lakes of Ensagents (2,550 metres). Experienced or beginner, find your feet at a hotel that balances quality and value for money.

"The location is good even for those who don’t want to rent a car ( the bus stop is in front the hotel). The room was nice and clean, the breakfast was simple but really really good. The best for me was the staffs, I felt very welcomed and very well treated."
"The isolation in the rooms are really bad, I could hear even the conversation from other rooms, there was a group of young ladies beside my room and it seems that they were doing a party, i wake up around 3am when they get back in the room and the noise was extremely loud."
"We had a very good stay at the Montecarlo Hotel. The best parts were definitely the excellent location, making it easy to explore the area, and the good breakfast offered every morning. It’s also conveniently close to a laundromat and a supermarket, which was really handy during the trip. Another highlight was the beautiful view from the balcony — a lovely bonus to enjoy after a day out."
"There was no air conditioner, cooler, or even a fan, which made the room quite warm at times. The breakfast became a bit monotonous, as it was the same every day. The bathroom was very small, particularly the bath, and parking was full when we returned from dinner, which was inconvenient. Additionally, there was construction next door, which created some noise during the day."
